Parents and guardians should be cautious about the content they store on their phones and other gadgets, because it can influence children's moral development.
The caution was issued by Ms. Hadassah Mirembe , founder of the High Sound for children organization, during the first school media club engagement of the year at Bright Way Primary School in Bulenga, Wakiso district.

The caution was prompted by revelations from children involved in media activities, who admitted to accessing their parents' phones to search for homework answers, play games, and use social networks like TikTok.
Ms. Hadassah expressed concerns about children stumbling upon adult content on their parents' phones, which their developing brains may not be equipped to process.

The Head Teacher of Bright Way Primary School, Mr. Ibanda Moses, commended the High Sound organization for its contribution to the media club activities. He noted that these activities have significantly enhanced pupils' English speaking, writing skills, and self-esteem since 2018.
"I want to share with you that over the past five years, since the inception of High Sound for Children's initiatives here, our students who have graduated from Primary Seven have been excelling. We have alumni at Seeta High, Lubiri Secondary School, and one of our students is leading a department at St. Mary's High School Kammengo. Additionally, Ahebwa Sarah is now in charge of the English Class at Gombe," he added.
After presiding over the event, Nannungi Melissa, the 10-year-old, left with her self-confidence soaring.

"I was appointed to be the MC, but I hadn't done it before. However, I now believe I can improve and do better next time," she said.
