High Sound for Children is a non-governmental organization that promotes child rights and development through the media in Uganda. The organization was established in 2017 by a team of senior Ugandan journalists to advocate for the amplification of voices of children through the media.
Media today is a critical online/offline tool that can liberate children from violations empowering them to give real time reporting through media clubs.http://www.hscuganda.org/index.php/projects/media-clubs-in-school. Equipping children with media literacy skills through these clubs introduces children to new methods of learning and child realities that can provide a route for children freedoms of expression and associations.
The organization is part of the wider child advocacy network for policy change through journalism to ensure that the various laws regarding children like those in the 1995 Ugandan constitution and International treaties on the rights of a child are respected and upheld.
Our Mission
